GPS Library for .Net
The Waymex GPS Library is a .Net assembly that allows GPS functionality to be easily added to any VS 2005 or VS 2008 .Net project. The assembly provides simple object based access to Garmin and Magellan GPS devices. Waypoint, Route and Track data can be stored and retrieved and access to other GPS information is available e.g. Date\Time, satellite information, current position etc. In addition Waypoint, Route and Track data can be saved directly to ESRI® Shape and Goggle Earths KML Files.
In addition the assembly supports NMEA devices and provides object based access to the NMEA data. All sentence parsing and checksum validation etc. is handled internally by the library.
The GPS Library supports transformations to British National Grid and supports the latest OSTN02 data set provided by Ordnance Survey. The OSTN02 data set is included with the product.
In order to provide the maximum flexibility, the product includes Assemblies targeted at .Net 2.0, .Net 3.0 and .Net 3.5 and the documentation is integrated into Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2008, where these products are installed. Read More...
